Warning and Work Lamps

Outside lamps on a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) are lighting systems that are installed on the exterior of the vehicle to provide visibility and improve safety while driving in low-light conditions. These lamps can include: Clearance lamps: These are small lights that are typically mounted on the front and rear of the vehicle, near the top. They are used to indicate the width and presence of the vehicle to other drivers. Identification lamps: These are lights that are typically mounted on the roof of the vehicle. They are used to indicate the vehicle's length and width and to make it more visible to other drivers. Marker lamps: These are lights that are typically mounted on the sides of the vehicle. They are used to indicate the vehicle's width and to make it more visible to other drivers. Tail lamps: These are lights that are typically mounted on the rear of the vehicle. They are used to indicate the vehicle's presence and to make it more visible to other drivers. Backup lamps: These are lights that are typically mounted on the rear of the vehicle. They are used to indicate that the vehicle is reversing.
