Fuel Filters

A fuel filter in a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) is a device that is installed in the fuel system to remove impurities and debris from the fuel before it enters the engine. These impurities can include dirt, rust, and other particles that can damage the fuel injectors and other components of the engine. In some vehicles, there are two filters, a primary one that is installed in the fuel tank and a secondary one that is installed close to the engine. The primary filter removes big debris and the secondary filter removes smaller debris.
