Brake Calipers

Brake calipers on a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) are a vital component of the vehicle's braking system. They are responsible for squeezing the brake pads against the rotor, creating friction that slows and stops the vehicle. Brake calipers can be either disc-type or drum-type, with disc-type being more common on HGVs. The calipers are typically located near the wheels and are connected to the brake pedal via a system of brake lines and hoses.
