Air Tanks and Components

An air tank, also known as an air reservoir or air compressor tank, is a component of an HGV's air suspension system. It is used to store compressed air, which is used to inflate the air springs (or air bags) in the suspension system. The air tank is typically located near the frame of the vehicle and is connected to the air compressor, which is responsible for compressing and pumping air into the tank.

Other components in an HGV's air suspension system include the air compressor, air lines, valves, and height sensors. The air compressor is responsible for compressing and pumping air into the air tank, while the air lines are used to transport air from the tank to the air springs. The valves control the flow of air to the air springs, and the height sensors are used to monitor the air pressure in the air springs and to maintain the desired ride height.
